MijaBAA™ index
📄 Report in preparation

MijaBAA™ index is a temporary designation used while this batch is undergoing laboratory testing. Once the analysis has been completed, the word index will be replaced by a numerical designation derived from the measured MIC value. The result will be published only after the official laboratory report has been received and checked.

Honey season ≠ test date. The batch identifies the production period (spring 2026), whereas the report will state the date of the laboratory test. Testing is currently in progress, and the exact test date will be added after the report is issued.

This page verifies a specific batch code and records its origin, season, core identification data, forthcoming laboratory report and a plain-language explanation of the planned measurements. Results are expected to be published by the end of July 2026.

Code: 2026-05-KV
Season: May 2026
Test: in progress
Honey: wildflower honey
Status: laboratory testing in progress
The MIC method for determining antibacterial activity was developed at the Institute of Molecular Biology, Slovak Academy of Sciences (Honey Laboratory project). Test reports are issued by the State Veterinary and Food Institute. Method source: medovelaboratorium.sk. Honey is a food, not a medicine. Published values are laboratory measurements, not health claims.

Complete overview of laboratory parameters

The batch record retains every standard item and states whether it is being measured in the current testing programme.

MIC
Testing in progress

Will show the dilution at which biological activity is still observed in the assay. The final MijaBAA™ designation will be added after evaluation.

Diastase activity
Testing in progress

An enzyme-related quality parameter used when assessing preservation of honey's natural properties and possible heat exposure.

HMF
Testing in progress

A parameter used when assessing heat exposure and changes associated with storage.

Water content
Testing in progress

Related to ripeness and stability. Higher water content may increase the risk of fermentation.

Electrical conductivity
Not included in this test

Can help distinguish between certain honey types. This parameter is not part of the currently commissioned testing.

Sugar profile
Not included in this test

Describes the main carbohydrate composition of honey. This parameter is not part of the currently commissioned testing.
